I got a job working for the bookstore near campus. It sells textbooks for cheaper than the Kennel bookstore, as well as some clothes, other school supplies, and various other things. There's a cute boy, Nate, who hired on the same time I did. he's got really pretty blue eyes. And I think he's pretty shy around women or something, or just strangers. He failed at greeting people the first day. I guess he did better, I only got to work with him like five minutes before he clocked out for the day. And I missed work Friday because I misread the schedule, like a complete idiot.
School starts tomorrow. It's the only day this week (other than Friday apparently) that I don't work. But my schedule is so full Randi is gonna end up at her sister's or something. Blah.
I'm watching Prom Queen right now, and it is nowhere near as good a movie as The Haunting in Connecticut which actually made me jump and shout out. It freaked me out like whoa.
Let's see...I'm kinda bored. Randi's cooking so I'm just waiting for it to get done. Chicken tacos = yum. Rusalka is taking a nap behind me on the couch (I'm on the floor) and I have no idea where Will-o-whisp is. (Randi insists on calling him Will but I think Whisp was better.)
Um...yeah got nothing else. |

That's an awkward phrasing. Of course I believe in monogamy, I also believe in polygamy. Both exist in the world. History and society have proven that.
I don't support polygamy, but some cultures do and that's fine. I also don't think I'll ever practice polyamory. I'm way too possessive and jealous and have way too low self-esteem to handle sharing someone with another person. I'd constantly be asking myself why I wasn't enough for him. Or what I could do to be better and enough. I'd want to know what she or he had that I didn't (apart from anatomy). I'd hate it and constantly worry he'd be taken away from me. Plus, I'd feel like I was cheating on him if I ever tried having another boyfriend.
I only want one, one soulmate. Husband. I want to be his only wife. I might be a bit selfish, but that's what I want. |

I'm not sure what I believe anymore. I mean, I suppose I believe that true love exists, because it would make life so much brighter. All the hurt and rejections from failed relationships would be justified if true love is what we all are propelled towards. Not that any of this counts for me, though. So, sure, I believe in true love. I just don't think true love believes in me.
As for love at first sight, no. Lust, infatuation, sure. But love can't come from just seeing someone. Unless by "seeing" that includes a date in which you really get to know the person. Even then, chances are you'll be infatuated. |

This is what happens when you fuck up your sleeping schedule doing an all-night writing assignment thing. Lady Gaga is kinda gorgeous. I need to sleep 'cause I'm getting up at 2 no matter what.
I'm not, so no worries about offending me. I think I would love to do free-diving. I mean, that's probably not what everyone would think of, but to be able to dive down into the ocean without all the bulk of scuba gear and to rely on yourself only would be amazing. There was a special on the best free-diver in the world on Animal Planet or Discovery once that I watched on a flight to England, and I was in awe at her grace and ability.
I think ice climbing would be pretty cool, too, but I have this bad habit of getting super sleepy in the cold.
Flowboarding looks cool, but I can't even skateboard. |

What: my stuffed rabbit Bunny FooFoo (sometimes with Mr. as the prefix). I took that bunny everywhere with me and sucked on his ears. My earliest thought was when I got him I didn't like the patterns the paint on the eyes made, so I licked on them (and apparently teethed, to). I was devastated when I came home from vacation once to find my young husky had ripped him to pieces and strewn his stuffing about the house.
Who: In the non-platonic way, probably a boy named Stephen. He was the first boy that didn't seem to mind or notice my weight and found out I liked him, but didn't run away in disgust/terror. He ended up just leading me on and then asking out one of my best friends. Who I'm no longer best friends with. I thought I was over him, but still whenever I see him and talk to him, I forget what he did to me and put me through. It's infuriating. |

Movies I want to see
Horror Alone in the Dark (1982) Blair Witch 2: Book of Shadows Cigarette Burns (2002) Dolls (1987)
House of 1,000 Corpses (2003) Pretty good for the gore, not much terror. The ending is a little weird.
Last House on the Left (1972 & 2009) I really liked it. I'll definitely keep in mind not to anger any fathers who work in the ER. I didn't like the part with the microwave. I don't think most would do that with the door open. Scanners (1981) Silent Night Deadly Night (1984) The People Under the Stairs (1991) Return to House on Haunted Hill Never Cry Werewolf Insanitarium Prom Night (2008) All the Boys Love Mandy Lane Shutter (2008) Definitely one of my favourite Asian horrors. And there's a definite twist at the end. Torment
The Unborn Interesting. I definitely liked the way it included historical stuff such as the part about what Mengele did to twins during the Holocaust.
Skinwalkers Definitely not one of my favourite werewolf movies. The werewolf forms themselves were cheesy, even keeping in mind that this is not a major movie. Also, it takes an interesting Navajo legend and completely destroys it. Hostel II An American Haunting Altered
The Devil's Rejects Pretty much the gorefest of the first one, but with more Baby Firefly, which kinda made the movie for me. Stupid girlcrush. Hide and Seek The Uninvited (2009)
The Poughkeepsie Tapes Kind of weird, set up like a documentary. There are some creepier moments. Pretty good overall, though. The Haunting of Molly Hartley
Mirrors Creepy, but pretty good. It made me not want to look in mirrors ever again. The Midnight Meat Train Shiver The Orphanage The Institution (2006)
Walled In I liked it. The twists were very interesting. Unrest Dark Remains
Amusement Weird. The only section that really freaked me out was the one with the clown. Fuck, I hate clowns. Hallettsville
The Haunting in Conneticut First movie in a really long time to actually make me jump and scream aloud. Definitely one of my favourites. Bitten Bled The Lost Manhunter Autopsy 28 Days Later 28 Weeks Later Carrier (2009) Shutter Island (2009) The Wolfman (2009) Halloween 2 (2009) Legion (2010) Dead Snow (Germany) Eden Lake (England) Martyrs (France) Pontypool (Canada) TimeCrimes (Spain)
To be added to eventually. |

Your result for The Golden Compass Daemon Test...
Calm Thoughtful Soul
You are a calm and restrained person, and you don't usually let your emotions get the better of you. Your friends and family are very important to you, and you enjoy spending time with them. However, you need to get away from them occasionally, because you need regular time to yourself to unwind a bit.
You are thoughtful and sensitive to the needs of others, especially your loved ones. You make an excellent listener, and your friends rely on you to be their rock in times of trouble. It is rare that you ask them to return the favour, however: you are a private person, and you rarely talk about your feelings. You don't like confrontation, and you don't usually react when someone hurts your feelings. You try to give people the benefit of the doubt, and you don't want to cause a fuss. You pick your battles, and when someone steps over the line, you surprise them with the vehemence of your emotions.
Your daemon's form would represent your poised, confident nature and your calm self restraint. He or she would probably rarely speak in public, but when alone, you and he/she could review the day, and he or she could provide the reassurance and comfort that you deny yourself by keeping your emotions bottled up.
Suggested forms: Cheetah, Crane, Wolf, Raven.

Bears are strong and independent creatures who roam in the forest in search of food. Bears are usually gentle, but anger one and be prepared for their full fury! You won't back down from a fight, you have a bit of a temper -- classic attributes of a bear. Intelligent and resourceful, though lazy at times, you are a fascinating creature of the wild. I miss The Dresden Files. Stupid Sci-Fi waiting too long to decide whether to come back or not, then blaming the actor for finding work elsewhere. God.
I miss Boy Meets World, too. I know they grew up, but I still miss that show!
